Smoke Curtains

Smoke CurtainsWestwood are leading suppliers and installers of high quality Smoke Curtains. Westwood Smoke Curtains are proven to restrict the lateral spread of smoke and gases along the underside of an internal ceiling in the event of fire.

Smoke Curtains are most effective when used as part of a smoke control system. For example it is possible to create smoke reservoirs from which smoke and hot gases can be extracted, or alternatively to prevent the spread of smoke to allow time for escape.

Smoke Curtains are more than an addition to smoke ventilation systems. Smoke Curtains save lives and are an essential safety component that allows you to stop the spread of lethal gases that are present in almost every fire.

The central roller and coiled up Smoke Curtain is housed in a galvanised metal box, which is fixed to the structure of the building. The box is galvanised as standard and can be polyester powder coated at extra cost.
