Westwood Security Shutters Visit Stuttgart Trade Show

Westwood Director Martin Dinnie has recently returned from RT 09 Stuttgart, a triannual European exhibition regarding all things Roller Shutters, Retractable Gates, Blinds, Awnings and Security Doors. Mr Dinnie reports that he has acquired many new ideas as a result of the visit with many new contacts made plus a list of items that will now be investigated by the Westwood R&D team. Mr Dinnie said: "I will now work very closely with our technical department and will be testing and reviewing several technical products that hopefully will prove complimentary to the Westwood range, in which case they will be added to our portfolio. It was also nice to see old friends and to put faces to names."

This is the first time that the exhibition has been held at the New Messe which is located adjacent to Stuttgart Airport. Previous exhibitions have always been held at the old Messe which was located in the Stuittgart city centre which was a larger venue with 11 large exhibition halls.

There is technical advancement every year and with a lot more attention to products promoting green and also health and safety issues, in particular in regarding to lifting during installation.

Westwood will again attend the RT Shanghai 2009 sister show to keep abreast of what is available from the emerging Asian market.
